"Marketing this as a "mica lamp shade" suggests to any reasonable person who knows what mica is that it is constructed from a sheet of mica. It is not. Rather, it is constructed from some mica chips embedded in a resin-like shellac. Properly speaking, the shade *contains* mica. Considering the very high price this is an important distinction."

The braided leather like trim makes them warm up the dark corner of our casual living room. They look very nice looking into the room at night.
