Worked for My Purpose

"I bought this hoping I could Jerryrig it to work on a very old bridge floor lamp. First, I had to hold the odd shade up on the bridge. By taking the clamp screw out and bending the clamp to open a bit wider, I was able to make it fit on the non-threaded socket. Then I squeezed it back shut a bit tighter! Dropped the shade down and it rests on the outer ring. Not exactly perfect, but good enough!"
