"I bought this for a tiny, Art Deco boudoir lamp that has a comparatively heavy glass shade. I was worried that the shade might be too heavy for the adapter. Fortunately, the adapter is supporting the weight and even tolerates a fair amount of movement. If you have a lamp with a similar glass shade, I would be very careful not to jostle it around TOO much. Overall, this is a great, deceptively strong little adapter."
