Not exactly as described

"I obtained 2 small lamps that needed work. Searching through this website, I saw what I believed to be the perfect solution - this kit that seemed to have everything I needed all in one, and a great price to boot. I ordered 2, and upon receipt, was dismayed to find that the sockets were pre-wired and of the "bottle lamp" design, routing the power cord through a hole in the shell base. Nowhere in the description do either of those facts show up. I opened the socket, and found the wires were attached by spring loaded insertion, and not by screws. Since I wanted to wire these lamps normally, and not through the hole in the socket base, I looked the sockets over carefully and determined that by inserting a small brad into the slot, I could release the wires. On one socket I was able to perform this successfully, but the other socket disassembly did not go well, and I broke one of the internal clips on the socket, rendering it unusable. So now I'm out a few more dollars, since replacement of the socket became necessary. Sorry to say, as much as I appreciate the selection and value from this company, I will likely not order this particular kit again, unless changes are made. I am also wary of the company's product descriptions now."

"I have searched for lamp kits for teapot lamps that I make and Antique Lamp Supply had great prices on what I needed. Anywhere from $4 to $8 cheaper than stores or other websites. Materials were very good and arrived quickly after ordering. Will definitely use them again in the future for lighting supplies."
