Bringing a desk lamp back to use
"I had purchased a particularly fetching banker's lamp many years ago and had it on my desk. Shortly after placing it in its location, it befell an accident and the green glass shade was broken in half. Where I purchased the lamp didn't carry replacement shades so it was relegated to a table where things go until I can figure out what to do with it. It was by sheer luck I was shopping for replacement parts for some oil lamps I bought at a junk store that I saw a lamp shade that would replace the broken shade of my loved banker's lamp. It took me a few years later to get the lamp, but the other day it arrived and was installed in that lamp. It now sits on my husband's desk in his mini office where he's enjoyed its pleasant light. Hopefully, it will not suffer a break. Antique Lamp Supply has never failed to impress me with its service and the variety of products. The shipping is reasonably fast for standard shipping. The cost is very reasonable given I had gone to local lighting stores and had been told that it was an item they didn't carry or was impossible to get to unless I managed to find something in an antique store. If I have to call, I get helpful service and I am directed to the item I seek. I"
