24 years and still great
"In 1996 I bought a farm in the boonies. We can't make a quick run anywhere to get anything. I needed a source of light for work at night and due to spotty power. There was a town down the mountain with a store that had literally been there 150 years. I went in and they had a Dietz air pilot. I don't recall what I paid for it. It's accompanied me on many a feeding late at night, in deep snow and warm summers. Lighting my path down the hill to the barn and livestock. Many a March night while I lay cursing my lack of common sense and my choices while I lay in the mud with an arm in a sheep, goat, horse or cow, this lamp has lit my work. When the power went out and my kids didn't know what to do without a video game, I taught them the joys of chess and rummy to the soft glow of this lamp while my 1957 radio played in the background; like it was when I was a kid. This light has been dropped, kicked, multiple globes replaced, many wicks and it still works today. I'm polishing it up for another season. Buy with confidence. There isn't much you can buy in this world that works and keeps working, but you can count on Dietz."
