"I purchased two of these to replace modern glass chimneys that never looked right on two old pressed glass oil lamps. The chimneys heavy pressed glass and when lit the rose pattern cast on the walls in a dark room is delightful. Unfortunately, there was a rough bottom edge on the chimneys that kept them from sitting squarely on the burners. I removed the rough edge with a diamond drum grinder in a Dremel Motor Tool. An easy fix for me but maybe not for others?"
