"I did need to add some solder ("tinning" the wires at the exposed tips) to the multistrand wires of the 2 lead cord so they would better poke into the self-locking contacts within the internal on/off switch that is seated inside the clear housing. I chose "clear" because I like the see-through "Science Fair" look and having the option for a cord color (brown) mismatch with the floor switch appeals to me since I like that "this has been worked on" look - that said there were brown, black and white color matching floor switches for those who prefer that look. The operation of the switch is smooth and nice feeling which is nice since it's brand-new. I didn't feel like I had to wait very long for it to show up in the USPS Mail either. Thanks!"
