"Plastic gets old and becomes brittle, These guys replace the chipping older ones in a working chandelier. they seem fine. I realized after I ordered them that I was looking at 4" originals NOT 3" , however, the angle on the chandelier is steep enough that unless you are on a ladder on the far side of the chandelier, you won't notice that the last inch isn't covered. Going forward, I'll just order 4" replacements."
